Named after the town where Mrs. Bun-im Koo (1919-1980) first crafted her signature bulgogi sauce, Sariwon began with a remarkable blend of twelve fruits and vegetables, made without sugar out of devotion to her diabetic husband. After her family resettled in Seoul, they carried the treasured recipe with them, transforming a humble twenty-seat neighborhood restaurant into one of Korea’s most celebrated culinary institutions across nearly nine decades and three generations.

Honored as Best Korean Restaurant by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and praised by The New York Times for its exceptionally tender Beef Galbi, Sariwon continues its legacy in Manila, serving the same timeless recipes in tribute to Mrs. Koo’s enduring heritage.
